Social Events


A small group of members strive to ensure that the club always provides a warm welcome, good food and service in comfortable  surroundings. 

The House and Social Committee is chaired by Vice President, Alistair Risk, and includes Angela Metcalfe, Angela Macbeath and Angela Grant.  (It is a foul slur to suggest that Christian names have any influence).

Our President Robert Powell  Secretary Tony Gill and Club Caterer Alistair Norrie are also ex-officio members of this committee.

The Entertainment Programme

Brora Golf Club is proud of its tradition of being at the heart of the village community and of its welcome to visiting golfers and their families.

To encourage members, their friends and holiday-makers to get the most out of their "Brora experience" a superb programme of entertainment - dances, concerts, quizes and much more - is run throughout the year.

Highlights have or will include:

- the Hogmanay Dance with top Scottish Entertainer Ronnie Ross

- the annual Burns Supper, with Billy Anderson and Malcolm McLeod

- the St Valantine's Supper Dance with Paula MacAskill

- the Golf Week socials and the Clynlish Week events

plus dances every bank holiday weekend from Easter onwards.

Members and visitors are recommended to book up
 for these events early to ensure that they can enjoy
 the best entertainment the north has to offer.
